After finishing our animatic in our previous lesson last week it become noticeable that we hadn't got enough ideas in our storyboard. Once watching the animatic back and seeing how long our transitions were we are 0.35 seconds sort. Instead of adding some scenes in, in the middle of the sequence we have decided to focus on after the blue print ( titles) have appeared on the screen.
In the lesson today we were finding it extremely hard to think about what could possibly go after this blueprint. Firstly we couldn't decide whether or not to create a whole new scene or continued with what had happened before. We decided that we should start a new scene as this wouldn't look right if we carried it on after the blueprint (titles) had finished. After a long discussion we all came to the agreement with one idea that we think will fit in with the rest of our story and also our theme. The idea that we came to agree on was going back in time (five years ago). By going back in time it meant that we could then fit this in with our current story. Before coming up with this idea we did come up with an idea that could have been put before the start of the material we already had. However in discussion with our teacher we realised that this would not work as it would interfere with the material we already had. By adding in a completely new scene after has allowed for us to add something different but still along the same lines of what we already had.
Below is the next few shots which we have storyboard:
